Bärtschi Lenormand – 3 Cards + 1 Card

Well, today, I decided to do a simple three card draw with the Bärtschi Lenormand. The cards were kind of ambiguous so I reshuffled and drew one more card to clarify things. The 4th card really didn’t make the reading that much clearer – hopefully, some of the Lenormand readers out there will chime in and help with the interpretation!
These are the first three cards:
- Card 17: The Storks
- Card 1: The Rider
- Card 26: The Book
The 4th card turned out to be Card 15: The Bear.
I’m not really sure how to interpret this. Perhaps, I or someone I know will hear news of something that was a secret and this news will bring changes or the start of something new. The Bear might say the news is about a big secret or maybe that the changes the news brings are big changes or even lucky changes. Or maybe, the Bear as a clarifying card is saying the news is about some kind of financial knowledge or secret.
It might even mean that I or we will hear news about changes that were a big secret that is finally out of the bag. I’d appreciate any thoughts on the meaning of these cards!
It is interesting that the Bear and the Rider turned up again! I’ve done three readings with this deck - two of them turned out to be totally identical and now in this third reading - two of the same 3 cards have turned up again. So, maybe, the Rider and Bear have some sort of special significance – like big, important, powerful news -or something like that.
If the Child had been the clarifying card I would have felt sure that we would hear news of a pregnancy that had been kept secret. However, I don’t really know if the Storks would indicate a pregnancy without the Child card. Several of my other readings with other oracles have seemed to indicate a pregnancy but so far there has been no news of a pregnancy for anyone close to us. It would be wonderful to find out my DIL in the Philadelphia area is expecting!

Hi Sammie – I know that strange loop feeling
Hmm…change coming from news of a secret? Big, financial, or from an older person?
Is your son planning to move house? Anyone in school? (I’m stretching for alternatives on Book + Bear – a teacher or older person?)
Book + Bear – somebody older or powerful you don’t know yet?
Still, there does look like a lot of flurry and activity there with Storks + Rider, doesn’t it? I do get a sense of motion from those two cards. If it’s not pregnancy news, maybe somebody (your son) is moving house, and hasn’t told you yet. Or could be getting a better job, or a promotion of some sort maybe tied in to education and will be moving house, or travelling more on account of it?.
Fat lot of help, I know. Just trying to think of what else it might be.

Hi Chanah,
It is a very ambiguous group of cards – that’s for sure. I doubt my son and his wife in Philadelphia would be moving – they just bought their house last fall and are in the process of fixing up and decorating. Our Honorary Son and his wife are building a new house which should be finished in August or Sept. – it is proceeding on schedule.
The book really feels like it is a secret to me so until the secret is revealed, who knows what this could be!

all I might add is:
Changes for the better (storks), important news or new project (rider+book) that brings cash flow!

rider is dfollowing the direction of stork– so– i am thinking theere is a retrosprtive move–
could it be– the bear and cub is you opening the book at the page where it says– ride east– i am thinkinng the storks is showing the direction of travel the rider is going,.. which direction are the kids in– maybe they are in need of some Mom assistance–?

This is such an ambiguous reading. I’m beginning to wonder if perhaps we will learn something that will enable US to move. Someday, it would be great if my husband could find a job closer to where my Mother lives – we’d love to get back to Montana someday and it won’t be long before she won’t be able to be living on her own without some support nearby. So, we’ll see. It doesn’t seem like it could be us and my husband is quite happy in the new job he started at in Sept. 2007.
