La Facile Sibilla Regionale – New Deck
This evening, after dinner, I decided to try out a new deck - La Facile Sibilla Regionale. It is an Italian deck and has 40 cards – most of the Sibilla type decks have 32, 36 or 52 cards so this one is a bit unusual in the number of cards. It seems to have a lot of cards that refer to various types of people. The artwork is very bright and colorful and has a kind of gypsy type feel to it. The little booklet that came with the cards is only in Italian and doesn’t have any individual meanings for the cards – just instructions on how to do a few layouts.
While shuffling the deck, I was feeling very frustrated with my husband – so, I wasn’t surprised that he showed up in the cards! Here they are:

- Situazioni in Arrivo: Arriving Situation
- Uomo di Casa: Man of the House
- Lui Fisicamente: He (Him) Physically
The last card – Lui Fisicamente really has me puzzled. When translated it means: he or him physically. Even though I’ve spent ages searching the Internet for what this could mean in a non-literal, colloquial translation – I can’t find anything. The little card inset shows the King of Clubs and the picture shows a dashing sort of man with a sword and what looks to be a scar on his face.
So, I’m wondering if “Lui Fisicamente” might mean a “macho man” or something like that – some sort of arrogant or swashbuckling man. If anyone reading this has any ideas or knows what this means – please post! For now, I’m going to assume it means a physical, active kind of man rather than an emotional type of man.
As for the interpretation, I think the cards are saying that a new situation is arriving regarding my husband (man of the house) who is a very unemotional man -sometimes, I think he is almost devoid of compassion. Hopefully, the new situation coming will involve him becoming a little less cranky and little more compassionate.
Yesterday and earlier today, I had an enjoyable time with my friend’s little girl who came to spend the night. We even managed to avoid Hannah Montana entirely! She played with the kittens a lot and we played a lot of Chutes and Ladders - which is actually quite a fun game.
Here is a little video of her playing with the kittens:
