Robin Wood Tarot ~ I’m a Happy Camper
September 23, 2008
It feels great to have some time for cards and blogging again! Last week was dreadful – so busy every day that there was no time to relax with my cards and no time to blog.
Yesterday, I had a great day piddling with my cards and finally got to try a new game I got over a week ago for my Nintendo DS – Million Heir.
There are several card draws from yesterday that I want to write about – first, two cards from the Robin Wood Tarot (one of my all time favorite decks). My favorite way of selecting two cards from a Tarot deck is to cut the deck three times after shuffling and then take the top and bottom card of the deck. These are the cards that showed up:

The Queen of Cups represents me – whenever it comes up I know this is something about me. The Nine of Cups shows how satisfied I am to have managed to get through that busy, busy week and now have time for the things I enjoy again.
These two cards also show the feeling of satisfaction I have that I actually managed to get everything done last week without letting anyone down. It has been a long time since I’ve felt this way and it feels nice to be pleased with yourself. It is a good feeling to know that you managed to accomplish everything you wanted to accomplish.
The dress I altered for my friend’s daughter turned out really well and she was thrilled with it, she called me up just bubbling over with excitement. Having our grandkids for the weekend was the last and biggest responsibility of last week and I was really exhausted by the time they went home. However, we had lots of fun with them. The sound of their laughter is still in my ears – a very, very good thing.

Hi Sammie!
What a great draw! Make a wish
The nine of cups is also often referred to as the “wish” card – I also love the Queen of Cups – it’s almost as if she is showing you that you have the power to manifest what you’re wishing for, you only need uncover the cup and release your desire from your thoughts (water tends to signify your unconscious mind and the realm of dream) to the universe.
I love it

What a lovely interpretation, LaContessa! Thanks very much for posting it. I think it is very interesting that the cup the Queen is holding is covered up by a hankie.
