The Answer Deck and Oracle Ge

Late last night and this morning, I’ve been working on editing a picture for a challenge at a photography website to which I belong. Even though I like it and think it suits the challenge, I decided to shuffle up the Answer Deck while wondering if I should enter this picture in the challenge. Here are the cards:

This is so straightforward and easy to understand! Seek Clarity by asking a Gray Haired Man for his Wisdom – in other words, ask a gray haired man if you should or shouldn’t! Since my gray haired husband was sitting just across the room reading a book, I asked him – “Do you think I should enter that picture I’ve been working on in the challenge?” He said he thought I should – he likes it and thinks it suits the challenge well. I believe him because he isn’t the sort of man who says things are good if they aren’t – he’d just tell you the picture sucked if he thought that.

So, I decided I would go ahead and enter the picture in the challenge. Then, I started to wonder how it would do in the challenge. Sometimes, pictures I really like end up getting abysmal scores. I shuffled Oracle Ge while wondering how this picture would do in the challenge. Here are the cards:

• Card 58 – The Cross: Death, Funeral
• Card 17 – The Star: Overall natural or secret protection
• Card 44 – Justice: Justice, Lawsuits, Judgement

Well, it doesn’t look like this picture will be a prize winner but it does look like the cards are saying it will be protected from harsh judgement. Sometimes, the scoring on the challenges can be brutal. All in all, it looks like the picture will get a fair score that isn’t too low.

The challenge starts tonight after 10pm and ends next Sunday at 10pm RMT – I’ll post an update how it ends up to see if the cards are correct.

Yesterday, my husband and I took a day trip to a nearby town and had a fun time walking around while I took pictures. There had been a beer festival earlier that day in a big downtown park (we arrived just as it ended) and there were lots of slightly inebriated, uninhibited people wandering around. These two guys asked me to take their picture – so I did! They kind of look like a modern version of “The Blues Brothers”! The guy with the red tie had on bright red, high top, tennis shoes to match.

The Answer Deck – Four Cards

Here is a little reading I did with the Answer Deck. I’ve been in such a funk lately – not able to settle to anything and not getting anything done with the photography and knitting projects I want to get started and get finished. While shuffling I was kind of thinking about this and these are the cards that showed up:

I had meant to cut the deck in three piles and use the top card of each pile. While splitting off the second pile the bottom card stuck to the table so I figured it wanted to be included!

The Inspiration, Wisdom and Talent cards are pretty easy to understand – it looks like soon I will have the Wisdom to get out of this funk and get some Inspiration to use my Talents.  I’m not really sure how the Justice card fits in. It could either mean that some sort of Justice (Divine?) might intervene and give me the Wisdom to get out of the funk.  That way, I’ll be able to get some Inspiration and use my Talents the way I’d like to. Or perhaps, it means that I’ll just get some Wisdom (from somewhere) which leads to Inspiration so I can do Justice to my Talents.

However the Justice card fits in, it looks like I will soon have some Inspiration to get some knitting and photography projects done!

The Answer Deck is such a cool little deck – very easy to use and understand.

The Answer Deck – Will my house be clean on time???

Tonight, I’ve been working the late shift cleaning and organizing. I’ve been cleaning and organizing for over a week now and the deadline is approaching – only one more day left before we pick up my Mom!

Decided to take a break and ask the Answer Deck: Will my house be clean on time? These are the cards that showed up:

• Brown Haired Woman
• Confusion
• Destruction

While I was shuffling, one card jumped out of the deck so I set it aside to clarify the drawing. It turned out to be: Abundance.

So, I’m the brown haired woman – even though I’m over 50 my hair is still light brown – we don’t get gray hair in my family. My Mom is over 70 and she still has dark brown hair – we don’t use color either. Anyway, I’m the brown haired woman, I seem to be in some confusion and creating destruction instead of a clean, neat environment!

This is so true that it me laugh! For some weird reason, whenever I do in-depth cleaning – I create more havoc than ever before. Today, I pulled everything out of my sewing/craft room and it is in sorted piles all over the family room. I seem to be making more mess than I’m picking up.

Also, I tend to get confused and sidetracked in the process of cleaning. Tonight, I started trying on all sorts of old clothes to see if they still fit. I found lots ot things I forgot I had! What a silly thing to do when I should have been cleaning something.

Oh well, I like the Abundance card that popped out of the deck. I think it is saying – well, you might not get your house all cleaned up by Sunday but it really doesn’t matter because you have everything you need to have a wonderful visit with your Mom.

The Answer Deck is such a cute little deck. I have it in two versions – the small size and also the large size. I like the small one better, the large deck has such thin card stock. The small one is handy to take anywhere.

Please feel free to chime in with any interpretations you have. I find it a great help to hear what other people see in the cards. So many times, one interpretation pops out at me and then I can’t even see anything else they might mean.

I just had a new thought. Perhaps, my Mom is the brown haired woman and she is creating the confusion that is leading me to wreak havoc on my home! However, that doesn’t really answer the question very well. Perhaps the set of 3 cards is the description and Abundance is answering the question – the house will be clean enough. Whatever!!
